Auxiliary Virtual Monitoring

Bring any system into Connect ONE, even without a dedicated integration

Auxiliary Virtual Monitoring is a virtual device that stands in for a system with no native Connect ONE integration of its own. Any source that can send a Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) formatted message, or make a simple authenticated JSON web request, can report zone alarms, trouble, restores, temperature, humidity, and general events straight into Connect ONE -- with full areas, zones, and arm/disarm support, the same as any other monitored system.

Two Ways to Report In

Accepts CAP-formatted XML messages, the same standard used by mass notification platforms, or a simple JSON POST authenticated by a device token -- whichever the source system already supports.

Full Areas & Zones

Create areas and zones the same as any other system, with arm/disarm support -- an event reported while the area is armed is correctly treated as a real alarm.

Temperature & Humidity

Push a temperature or humidity reading directly into a zone, with the same high/low threshold alerts and historical logging used across the platform.

No Native Integration Needed

Custom, legacy, or third-party systems that can make a basic web request become fully monitored Connect ONE devices, without waiting on a dedicated integration.

Works Alongside Everything Else

Events reported through Auxiliary Virtual Monitoring flow into Monitor & Activity, Reporting, and Interaction Event Rules the same as any other system, and can trigger outputs, notifications, or lockdown across the rest of the platform.

See the Emergency Messaging Hub for aggregating CAP messages out to mass notification platforms.

Central Station Reporting

Alarms reported in while an area is armed, and temperature/humidity threshold alerts, can report directly to your central station alongside every other signal on the account. See supported receiver types, formats, and the Cancel Alarm function.
